I'm glad we read the scriptures...

Our family started reading the Book of Mormon as a family in May. We are proud to report that we are in Jacob now and still plugging along. My kids are learning a ton! Zachary opened the scriptures today and proceeded to read to me. This is what he said,

"The Holy Ghost and Santa Claus is on vacation. They learn about Jesus." I'm so glad that he is learning so much from our diligent scripture reading to him. (note, there is a hint of sarcasm in this post if you couldn't tell!) At least he put that they learned about Jesus while on vacation. Consistency is the key I guess! I love my little buddy. He cracks me up!

So cute! I promise consistency pays off! We have been reading the BOM consistently, as a family, for over a year now every night and we are in Alma 62! Not only that, Meili scolds us if it's getting too late and we haven't read yet. Jocelyn gets up and reads 1 chapter per morning now so she can have it read before she turns 8 in November. On top of it all she can read through most versus and words in the BOM like it's nothing and comprehends most of it! I don't think I did that till I was 12! Can't wait to hear more of your success stories! At least Zach associates Jesus with the BOM and Christmas!
