Life in Reno

Well, on December 27th, we officially moved to Reno. After the unpacking and figuring out where things go, we had a wonderful week of just hanging out before Phil started work. Phil hardly knew what to do with himself because it was probably the first time in a LONG TIME that he had nothing to do...no calling, no school, no work. We also didn't have TV hooked up, Internet or Phone. We really just hung out and watched a lot of movies. I finally convinced Phil to watch some chick-flicks with me. We watched "Pride and Prejudice," "Sense and Sensibility," and our new favorite "Jane Eyre" (it's a new movie that came out in 2007. It is really good.) We also played a lot of games, played with the kids and scoped out our new neighborhood. We have a super Wal-Mart down the street and a Kohl's also. Our library is really neat and I've already taken Kaylin to "story time" there and she loved it.

Phil started working for JC Penney's on Jan 7th. He is the supervisor for the "order fillers" at the Distribution center. He really seems to like his job and is slowly learning the company's language and way of doing things. It's really nice because his hours are from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm everyday. He gets home about 3 PM and I love that! I've started to cook more and try new recipes because he watches the kids while I get dinner ready. It's just so wonderful to have so much time together.

We also love our new apartment. We finally (after 4 1/2 years) have a dishwasher and washer and dryer in our place. Life is good! I've never loved doing dishes and laundry so much in my life. I know that will change, but for now it's great.
