Snowed in!

For the last 5 years, we really haven't had to deal with any snow since we lived in sunny California. Since our move, we have gotten a crash course of how to deal with/drive in the snow. My way of coping with it is by staying in doors. Unfortunately that makes for some boring days. Luckily though, the snow has melted and we should have clear weather for at least the next week or two. Here are some pictures of us hanging out in the house.

Kaylin has a playdoh crown on her head

This is a funny story...Phil loves to play with Kaylin and one of the things that they do is play with this green tunnel. I don't play in the tunnel because I know that I don't fit in the tunnel. Phil also has that knowledge, but chooses to go against all the reason and think he's "invincible" and do it anyways. The result...he got stuck for like 10 minutes. One leg was bent in the tunnel and it took forever to bail him out. Silly daddy!
Phil's birthday was on the 29th of January (also Zachary's half birthday) and I made him a cake. We decorated the house with a "happy birthday" banner and 3 ballons (I can't tie ballons...I can blow them all day long, but tieing them is not my forte, so 3 is all he got). I got him slippers for his birthday (he had already bought himself a really nice wool peacoat) and made him a cake. So we ate a little piece of his cake the day before because it looked so yummy. Then when it came time to sing Happy Birthday, I realized that I didn't have birthday candles. I put a scented candle on top of the cake. Here is Phil hanging his head in humiliation at having a glass jar on top of his cake. Sorry Phil, next year will be awesome!

I know how those snow days are! I had many a boring day living in Rexburg! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Phil! I am sorry we didn't call! I did think about you on your birthday, because I remembered that night. Gotta love the scented candle! Regular candles are boring...with this you will always have a memory and a good one at that! AHHH two years from 30...we are getting old!

HA HA HA! I love the scented candle. I wish it was Kent's birthday and not mine coming up. I'd totally do that, but I am not in charge of the birthday cake.
