1. He loves food. He eats 3 times a day and is starting to eat certain table foods. He loves every kind of baby food that you feed him and loves to drink juice and water from a sippy cup. He is also getting good at self-feeding (things like cheerios and little puffs).
2. He started to scoot backwards. He gets up on all fours and then pushes himself backwards all around the room. He starts fussing when he gets backed up into a corner. I would think that he would say to himself, "oh I'll just scoot forward" but he doesn't. Maybe someday. For now, he looks really cute scooting and turning about the room.
3. He loves to smile. He is a really happy baby. He usually is very content just sitting and playing with his one or two toys. He loves it when Kaylin talks "baby" to him. It's very cute to see them interact.
4. He is finally sleeping through the night--well 10-12 hours at least. He did this one night and I woke up in a panic. I went in to check on him and found that he had flipped over on his tummy and was sound asleep. Now he sleeps on his tummy. I figure, if he can roll himself, go for it. Do what makes you sleep longer.
Kaylin has been Miss Talkative lately. She's been saying the funniest things. Here are a few good ones:
1. She calls me "My dear." I have no idea where she got that from because Phil and I both do not say that. She usually says, "Thanks my dear" or "Your welcome my Dear" etc. It's so cute!
2. She always "promises" to do things. She'll ask to do something dangerous like jump on the bed and then says "I be careful, I promise." I've actually used it to my advantage at bedtime because I make her promise not to get out of bed. When I say that she says, with a sigh, "Ok, promise." Point mom!
3. She started kissing us on the lips "like Jasmine." It was so funny one day when we were at our friends Khyl and Danielle's house. She took me by the face and turned her head and planted a kiss on my lips and held it there. I tore away and she said "I kiss mama like Jasmine (from Aladdin)." I then had to explain that you only kiss boys like that and not til you are 30. We'll see if that sinks in. She's a cutie.
4. She says "That's perfect" all the time.
5. Her new favorite song is Shake your BUNDA (this is the word for Butt in Portuguese). Last night Melissa was giving her a bath and after she got out she said "I've got bubbles in my bunda" It was hillarious!
