On Monday we went to the doctor's office to see how Kaylin is doing with all the colon problems. She's been on this prebiotic supplement for the last 3-4 months and it seemed to be helping, but I was still sceptical. They did a little flexiscope in the office and on Tuesday we got the results back...NO INFLAMMATION or COLITIS! The best news we've gotten in 2 years! Who would have thought that after 2 years of trying all these different heavy meds and going through all these different tests that a dietary supplement would do the trick! We are so excited and we are hoping that this will last a while.
On Wednesday, we went to an allergist to see if Kaylin still has milk and egg allergies. When we got there, the doctor noticed Kaylin's cough and basically after a series of questions told us that she does indeed have asthma. So we did about 3 breathing treatments at the office to get rid of the wheeze in her lungs and then I have to do them every 4-6 hours for the next day or two. In addition to that she has to be on an inhaled steroid everyday for at least the next month.
So, we are thrilled that the colon problems seemed to be resolved right now, but now there's another thing to deal with. Maybe this is what it means to ENDURE to the end. Oh well, life is full of surprises!

How great to have both problems diagnosed and ways to treat both of them. I am so glad to hear that dietary supplements are doing the trick. Way to go Kaylin!
Rebecca, your family is SOOO cute! My little one has some health issues, too, same kind of stuff! It's amazing the healthy alternatives you can find.
Becca,
Nice blog! You have cute little blondie kids, they're adorable. Curtis and I have had so much fun between Janessa's blog, your mom's blog, and your blog. It's so fun to see everybody's kids and what everybody's up to! We'll definitely check in often!

Aw, so sorry that she has to go through all that at such a young age, but she has a maesinha muito fofa e boa que a ajuda muito!
Miss you Bekinha!
I was relieved for you guys to see that Kaylin is finally having some relief from her digestion stuff. I was not so happy to see that she has asthma! Yuck! Well atleast she is not in pain anymore. Hopefully those inhalers work for her. Miss you guys!
