...if I ignore my daughter when she asks for something to eat for the 10th time? Today I was blogging while she was making her request. About 5 minutes later I saw that she was on the couch eating a sandwich. She had toasted her bread, put butter on it and made it into a sandwich. ALL BY HERSELF. Does that make me a bad mom?
...if I only feed my kids veggies like once a week. I used to be so good, but since we are moving vegetables and fruit have taken a back seat on the priority chart.
...if I fight with Phil in front of them? A couple of times Kaylin has come in a says "Mommy, you have to be nice to Daddy!" or "Daddy, you have to be nice to Mommy?" Don't you think that she is getting a nice dose of the reality of a married couple?
...if the kids room is a mess? I try but Zachary has found out how to open his dresser drawer and take out all his clothes in a matter of seconds.
...if I plop them in front of the TV while I try to get stuff done?
If you feel like commenting, be my guest but please no negative comments (I don't think that I can handle the hard truths, especially with the stress of the move), these are all rhetorical questions.

I think we (as in moms) are all more like this than you think. As far as the fighting in front of your kids I have to say Jason and I have not been perfect in that area either, but our bishop told us that as long as they see us make up and apologize to both them and your spouse in their presence then that's what counts. Hang in there!
If those thing make you a bad mom, we are all in trouble. Good moms just do the best they can, but none of us are perfect!!! And think of all the learning experiences they get!
Can relate to all of these. But I must say that if your 3 year old is able to do a couple basic food needs herself that is indeed a very GOOD thing. Too many kids expect to be waited on hand and foot these days!
Totally agree with all these comments. In addition I'd like to add that no mom is a bad mom unless she unloving, uncaring, and unsympathetic to her children. At least that's what I think.
Bec, in my SUPER experienced life as a Mom :) I have to say that I think you're GREAT. Even I am not naive enough to realize that days like that will come to ME, that's for sure!! Plus, I was talking to DAd tonight, and he and Shaunie were talking about what a SWEETHEART ANGEL Kaylin is, and I couldn't agree more!! Now, if you are a bad Mom, something's wrong with that picture :)
