While at Lake Siskiyou, we found out that Phil's grandma passed away. The following weekend, Phil drove up with his parents and other siblings to attend the viewing and funeral for grandma. The kids and I stayed home, which ended up being for the best because Phil really got to enjoy spending time with his family and cousins. He had a great time reconnecting with everyone in the family.
The following weekend, we drove up to Sacramento and went to the burial. It was nice for me to see everyone, but I've decided that funerals and weddings are really hard when you have kids. Nobody die or get married until my kids are older! :)
